Fri Sept 17th

            I went “downtown” this morning and took about 100 ft of movies weaving pictures showing (I hope) the loom and the method of operation. Then I came back to the camp and took pictures of Theiler at work with this microscope. This I followed by pictures of Bequaert at work in his tent mounting mosquitoes and later of him catching insects in the field with a net. *I took a group picture of us all to compare with the one on the boat. In the afternoon I went forth in search of driver ants – walking for about an hour down the road. It was hot and outside of a small column and a 16” worm very unprofitable. When I got back I found that Theiler had discovered a magnificent column of ants only 10 minutes from camp. So I rushed over and took pictures as it was cloudy – And 500 I am afraid that they were N.G. But such is life. In the evening more movies and 4 x 5s.
